As every year, the famous Michelin Guide unveiled, Monday, January 18 by internet broadcast from the Eiffel Tower, its list of starred restaurants for this special year that is 2021. With 638 starred restaurants and 57 new addresses against 46 “downgrades” , France now has 10 more stars.

The Vendée, which has great restaurateurs who have retained their stars, once again offers a great choice between 5 1-star tables:

  • Les Genêts – Brem sur Mer
  • Les Brisants, Jean Marc PEROCHON – Brétignolles sur Mer
  • La Robe – Montaigu
  • Le Pousse – Pied – La Tranche sur Mer
  • La Table du Boisniard – Chambretaud

and one 2-star table :

  • La Marine – L’Herbaudière

Anecdote this year, a star was withdrawn from a Vendée restaurant, but in a somewhat special context! Indeed, the withdrawal of the Michelin star follows the pure, simple and definitive closure of the famous restaurant La Chabotterie by Thierry Drapeau after he suddenly left France, to go and live a new life in Asia where he had already ties. A sudden change of course which therefore cost our beautiful gastronomic destination a starred table.
